Yes UN should protect religions but first...
Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, secretary-general of the 57-member OIC told reporters in Cairo that the OIC would ask the UN General Assembly to pass a resolution banning attacks on religious beliefs.
Pendar, OIC and Arab League Seek UN Resolution on Blasphemous Cartoons
The Muslim world’s two main political bodies, the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and the Arab League, said yesterday they were seeking a UN resolution, backed by possible sanctions, to protect religions. This follows the outcry caused by publication in Scandinavia of cartoons denigrating Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
...
Ahmad Ben Helli, assistant secretary-general of the Arab League, confirmed that contacts were under way for such a proposal to be made to the United Nations.
How about a ban on suicide bombers first? How about a ban against torturing and beheading innocent people? How about a ban against attacking Jews, or are they not people with religious beliefs?
Let's have the Organization of the Islamic Conference and the Arab League condemn Muslims who disrespect other religions and cultures. Certainly, these are the same two organizations who remained silent when the Arab Press degraded Jewish Religious symbols:
Or when the Arab Press insults Jews as Nazis.
Or, Hey, how about when they insult our Flag and our Country:

And of course, they all remained silent when Islamic warriors presented images of infidels being beheaded. A cartoon insult seems so trivial compared to torture and death, don't you think?
So let me tell all followers of Mohammed, Peace be upon Him, that you all live in Glass Mosques, so watch who you stone.
Here's something to mull over:
Two Muslims are chatting. One of them has his wallet out and is flipping through pictures. "Yeah, this is my oldest. He's a martyr. Here's my second son. He's a martyr, also."
There's a pause... The second Arab says, wistfully, "Ah, kids these days, they blow up so fast, don't they?"
Of course some Muslims may be offended by the above, and ask how I can joke about death. Who says that was a joke?
