The Scorpion and the Frog

A scorpion and a frog meet on the bank of a stream and the scorpion asks the frog to carry him across on its back. The frog asks, "How do I know you won't sting me?" The scorpion says, "Because if I do, I will die too." The frog is satisfied, and they set out, but in midstream, the scorpion stings the frog. The frog feels the onset of paralysis and starts to sink, knowing they both will drown, but has just enough time to gasp "Why?" Replies the scorpion: "Its my nature..."

It is the nature of Muslims to self-destruct. How else to describe what Hamas did to provoke Israel into a fight after Israel had left Gaza altogether. How else to explain what Hezbollah did to provoke a fight when Israeli troops were not even in Southern Lebanon?

What? You were looking for some psycho-babble, some sociological, anthropological, environmental reason? No, no, it's simple: Muslims according to the rules of Islam cannot help but be self-destructive. That's it. Don't look any deeper. Your average, moderate Muslim is a bomb waiting to go off. He may not even know it himself but one day he will go BOOM!

SEATTLE – One person is dead and five others have been injured in a shooting at the Jewish Federation downtown Seattle. One suspect has been taken into custody, Naveed Afzal Haq, 30, was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of homicide and attempted homicide, a Pakistani man that allegedly is a US citizen.

According to the Seattle Times, the man got through security at the Jewish Federation and told staff members, "I'm a Muslim American; I'm angry at Israel," then began shooting.

When you CAIR enough to say the very best

After Naveed Afzal Haq shot six people in a Jewish Federation office, killing one and wounding five, I immediately thought about CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, would have to say about it.

My first guess would be nothing.

But this was too big a story for them to sweep under the rug. They couldn't just ignore it, they'd need to say SOMETHING.

So I went back to their standard playbook. First, they'd denounce the incident. Then they'd tie it into blaming Israel for "aggression" and provoking such incidents. Then they'd say that you can't blame all Muslims for the actions of one deranged individuals. Finally, they'd try to claim a share of the victimhood, demanding extra protection for Muslims from hypothetical "hate crimes." ...

Pamela at Atlas Shrugs says it "Looks like another case of Sudden Jihad Syndrome".

Some may start thinking about those Hezbollah sleeper cells that Hassan Nasrallah threatened to unleash against the West, but it's an extremely unlikely explanation for this incident. If this initial report is accurate, it looks much more like a lone nutcase taking out his bigotry in a violent manner. Hezbollah would not waste a sleeper agent on an attack of this type, with so few potential victims. When Hezbollah strikes, they aim for maximum damage, as they did in Buenos Aires when they killed over eighty people at a Jewish center. This sounds much more similar to the wannabe jihadi in North Carolina earlier this year.text

The Florida Masochist says, "This is probably the story of one lone nutcase. The US has had a history of these as does every area of the world. Does that make a society all bad?"

Sadly, this is not one lone nutcase.

So yes, I would say that over 5,000 nutcases since 9/11 constitutes a very serious indictment against a culture, religion and society. Mask it how you like with donations of hospitals and help during Katrina from Kuwait and other Arab entities, these donations are with our own oil money anyway. Without American help exploiting their oil fields these sand fleas wouldn't be able to donate a used camel tent to the Salvation Army.

For instance, despite all their charitable contributions, Dubai is still the largest money laundering center for World Terrorism. There are many, many wealthy Iranian mullahs with numbered bank accounts in Dubai. Hitler, by the way, was a great supporter of the arts. Should we have given him a pass because of that?

Related outbursts caused by the Israel and Lebanon War (Click on Photo for sanitized YAHOO story): Seems it's not just Muslims who have gotten themselves into a tizzy over the current middle-east conflict. According to TMZ, Gibson's Anti-Semitic Tirade -- Alleged Cover Up, Mel Gibson participated in a passion of the terrorism of his own, Excerpt:

TMZ has four pages of the original report prepared by the arresting officer in the case, L.A. County Sheriff's Deputy James Mee. According to the report, Gibson became agitated after he was stopped on Pacific Coast Highway and told he was to be detained for drunk driving Friday morning in Malibu. The actor began swearing uncontrollably. [...] The report says Gibson told the deputy, "You mother f****r. I'm going to f*** you." [...] The report says Gibson then launched into a barrage of anti-Semitic statements: "F*****g Jews... The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world." Gibson then asked the deputy, "Are you a Jew?"

Seems Mel Gibson should refrain from interpreting Middle East relationships according to some movies he recently produced. Movies are fictions, Mel. The ones you wrote? The scripts didn't waft down from Heaven.

BTW, TMZ stands for Thirty Mile Zone - a film industry term referring to the immediate area around Los Angeles where filming can occur without added out-of-town labor costs.
