Short Bio:
Anna Nicole Smith (born November 28, 1967) an American actress and model first gained popularity as Playboy magazine's 1993 Playmate of the Year. Anna Nicole Smith's career suffered as her weight gain and bizarre antics became fodder for the tabloids. It didn't help when her reality TV show tanked. Smith's weight has see-sawed tremendously in the past few years and may have been a contributing factor in her death. Obviously there is a news frenzy over the cause of her death. I will happily not be watching the minute by minute dissection of her last days by broadcast TV. Eventually I'll overhear how she died in my office and I will not have wasted precious days of my life stuck to the tube.

Her highly publicized marriage to entrepreneur J. Howard Marshall, 63 years her senior, resulted in a lengthy legal battle over his estate. Anna's case, Marshall v. Marshall, reached the U.S. Supreme Court in February, 2006, on a narrow constitutional issue over the right of a federal judge to intervene in a state probate case. On May 1, 2006, Smith won the Supreme Court case 9-0, or as the law clerks listed it: 40-24-36.

Without the stress of the case she might have lived longer, though poorer. Doesn't seem like it was worth it for her, now.

Rest in Peace you poor child.

I'd like to make an observation: with all the news shows, the biography channel, E!, 20/20 devoting time to her life and death, the blogosphere weighing in on this story, this would be a good time for Iran to buy nuclear devices from North Korea. The whole world will be watching, reading and writing about the sad but true hollywood story of Anna Nicole Smith.
