Why Naked Women are the Work of God

In response to my article The Difference Between Nuns and Muhajaba, Nadeem from Pennsylvania made the following Muslim observation about nearly naked women:

Going against the nature never benefits anyone. Think of it like this, All the precious thing in the world, where do yuo find them? Pearls...In the Bottom of a deep ocean inside a sea shell. Gold...Under layers and layers or dirt where we dig it out from. Diamonds...inside deep dark mines. Human's worth way more than these things. WHY SHOULD A HUMAN'S BODY BE TREATED LESS THAN THESE? Are you saying that making women half or more Naked in front of people is religeously and socially correct?

I have been in the business of pearls, gold and diamonds since 1977. Let me share some of my observations with you, Nadeem.

It is true that all these things are found in dirt and muck deep in the earth and sea. However, these things are of value and precious not because we kept them covered but because we revealed their naked beauty.

Diamonds in the rough are like broken soda bottles, ugly and dull. Gold in nature is rarely polished and shiny, but rather covered with a dull patina. But it is not until we grind away their dullness, after we uncover their true beauty, that they become admirable. We most admire, we most desire, we most value that which glitters and shines. I believe women are like jewels of the earth. They are most to be admired, most to be desired and most to be valued when their beauty is most revealed.

Consider King Solomon's Song of Songs:

Your cheeks are beautiful with earrings,
your neck with strings of jewels.

We will make you earrings of gold,
studded with silver.

How beautiful your sandaled feet,
O prince's daughter!
Your graceful legs are like jewels,
the work of a craftsman's hands.

Your navel is a rounded goblet
that never lacks blended wine.
Your waist is a mound of wheat
encircled by lilies.

Your stature is like that of the palm,
and your breasts like clusters of fruit.

The hijab is against Nature, and for the religious among us, against God. In all of creation when we look at how the world was designed, we see that revealed beauty is what motivates every creature from the most low to the most high. Butterflies dance among bright red, orange, yellow, and purple flowers, and not on some black shmattas covering them up.

Bees are attracted to the beautiful colors, beautiful symmetry, and beautiful shapes of flowers in the meadow. Without beauty there is no pollination. Without pollination there are no food crops for beast or man. Whoever made the Universe made sure that without beauty, there is no life. The hijab, the burqa, the abaya, all are anti-life. So yes, Nadeem, women half or more naked in front of people is not only religiously and socially correct it is a categorical imperative.

Hiding Beauty is Against Human Nature

At the top of this post is a photo of the largest gold nugget in the world in its dirtiest covered-up state. It is not unlike a woman in a burqa whose true beauty has yet to be revealed.

Here is a most beautiful woman, Claudia Lynx, an Iranian model now living in the US. Here is how she looks in America:

And here is how she looks in Iran:

woman imprisoned in burqa

My poor misguided Nadeem, look out in the real world, at flowers, rainbows, and waterfalls in deep forests. There is nothing more uplifting to the human spirit than to appreciate and admire beauty.

Look at the two photos above and tell me which one makes you appreciate and admire the human species. Tell me which one is repugnant to nature. Be honest Nadeem.
