
Back in 1975 when I was living at my wife's parents' house, I noticed that my father-in-law's in-ground pool had fallen into neglect: it was slimy-green and covered with leaves and muck. I saw dragon-flies depositing eggs along the inside of the pool and I could see countless tadpoles splishing at the low end of the pool.

One of the most important parts of debugging a software program is to test the limits of input. Making sure the program doesn't crash if you enter zero or one million instead of your real age; that is, testing for the limits of input at the extremes.

In 1974 I couldn't get enough of Kung Fu movies, especially Bruce Lee films, such as Enter the Dragon and Fists of Fury. Bruce Lee arguably had the most cut body and the fastest attack moves of any person in history. Very few people realize that Bruce Lee was much too fast to even be recorded in 24 frames per second.
