The check is in the mail - sure and Islam is the religion of peace
I propose that the phrase "the check is in the mail" be replaced with the more timely and topical "Islam is the religion of Peace."
Indeed in certain situations it is more accurate since occasionally the check is actually in the mail whereas Islam is never, ever the religion of Peace.
Here are typical situations:
He: I promise to pull it out.
She: Yeah, and Islam is the Religion of Peace.
Porn site: We will never charge your credit card for services you never requested.
Mark: Yeah, and Islam is the Religion of Peace.
Government: We are here to help you.
Citizen: Yeah, and Islam is the Religion of Peace.
Police: We are not interested in you, we want the other guy.
Perp: Yeah, and Islam is the Religion of Peace.
Court: If you are innocent you have nothing to worry about.
Defendant: Yeah, and Islam is the Religion of Peace.
Verizon: Nothing is more important than our customers.
Phone user: Yeah, and Islam is the Religion of Peace.
Warner Cable: We will never share your private information with anyone.
Subscriber: Yeah, and Islam is the Religion of Peace.
Julius Caesar: By Jupiter, Brutus, most noble brother, you are certain a trusted friend!
Brutus: Perscriptio in Manibus Tabellariorum Est!
And, of course:
Tenant: The check is in the mail, honest.
Landlord: Sure, and Islam is the Religion of Peace.
