Dutch Christians and Muslims join forces to limit Fitna's impact

The anger felt by some people in the Muslim world has already reached such a level that a delegation from the Dutch Protestant church, the Dutch Council of Churches, the Muslims and government contact organisation (CMO) and the Islamic contact group is to go to Egypt in a joint effort by these organisations to ward off possible disaster.

Bas Plaisier says it's extremely important that the message gets across clearly in the Muslim world. He's been receiving disturbing reports from Dutch nationals all over the world, including ones about fear of repercussions among Christians in Sudan, the Middle East and Indonesia, with churches being the target. In the case of Indonesia, the wave of church burning which took place only a few years ago is still fresh in people's memories. Bas Plaisier was in Jakarta fairly recently and found that it was in fact moderate Muslims who would ask him: "What in heaven's name are you doing in the Netherlands, are you actually aware of what you are doing?"

Let me translate that last line for you: "Don't you know that we are going to riot and kill anyone who insults Islam?"

Youtube obviously knows the consequences and in fear of their miserable lives has already killed the account.

So this is how information will be distorted in the modern world: by appeasers to Islam like the New York Times (1) or by knee-shaking cowards like YouTube and Network Solutions who backed away from hosting the site.

Now if only that Dutch Christian group can convince the rest of the Muslim world that Holland is already filled with Dhimmis and is ripe for an Islamic takeover, perhaps they can be spared violence and destruction.

By the way, I do not agree with Wilders that we should ban the Qur'an. No books should be banned, none, no matter the content. We should, however, ban Muslims. The problem is not the book, but the people who faithfully follow its precepts.

"Fitna": The Left Paints Itself into a Corner

Yesterday, the IS (International Socialists) hosted a demonstration on the Dam in Amsterdam. Nederland bekend kleur (translated: "The Netherlands admits color"). This demo was supposed to show solidarity with ethnic minorities, but in actuality it was a "let's bash Wilders in public" demo.

It was a complete fizzle. At least 5,000 demonstrators were expected. Less than a thousand showed up. The national media weren't even present.

Al Qaeda Fatwa against MP Wilders

The terrorist network Al-Qaeda has given orders for the assassination of MP Geert Wilders, newspaper De Telegraaf reports. The Party for Freedom (PVV) leader must be 'slaughtered', the orders say, because he has insulted Islam and the prophet Mohammed.

The newspaper based its report on a recent message on a protected web forum of internet site al-ekhlaas.net, which De Telegraaf claims is affiliated with Al-Qaeda. The internet threat, which was posted on 28 January, was intercepted by the American research institute SITE Intelligence Group, the newspaper reports.

"In the name of Allah, we ask you to bring us the neck of this unbeliever who insults Islam and the Muslims and ridicules the prophet Mohammed," the site says about Wilders, according to the newspaper.

The message honours Mohammed Bouyeri as a hero. This Amsterdam-born Moroccan Muslim cut Islam-critic Theo van Gogh's throat on 2 November 2004. The message also appeals for readers to "terrorise" the Netherlands to prevent Wilders' controversial film on the Koran from being broadcast.

The people who run Network Solutions must be removed from their positions of authority, and replaced with executives who have respect for the Constitutional system of the United States.

The business they are in is supported by a culture dedicated to Free Speech. Without such a culture, no one would be interested in the internet, thus their business would dry up.

They like the benefits of free speech, but are absolutely unwilling to support free speech themselves. This is not a simple issue of Free Enterprise. Trucking companies have to pay special taxes, because trucks do more damage to the roads than do ordinary automobiles. Network Solutions ought to be willing to support the system which allows them to thrive.

Network Solutions Refuses To Host 'Fitna' But Finds No Problem In Hosting A Multitude Of Radical Islamic Websites Associated With Terrorist Groups

Given the refusal by Network Solutions to host a film one has to wonder why it is that Network Solutions actually violates U.S. law and is hosting radical Islamic websites, some of which belong to (or are closely affiliated with) terrorist groups.

As Rick Moran writes at American Thinker and as we noted in our previous post, "Given the freedom radical Islamists enjoy to spout their hatred on the internet one wonders why Wilders unseen film should suffer from being banned arbitrarily."
