Section 60, the newest portion of the vast national cemetery on the outskirts of Washington D.C, contains hundreds of U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Family members of slain American soldiers have flown in from across the country for Memorial Day.

Angel over at her blog Woman Honor Thyself has these words to offer on this Memorial Day:

Memorial Day 2013

They fought for our precious Freedom of Speech..
Yet we get scared and stay Silent.

They fought for our precious Constitution..
while most of own children haven’t a clue about it.

They fought and died to offer us Freedom of the Press…
as our very own media aids and abets our sworn enemies.

They fought to offer us a government which serves the people…while our fellow citizens vote for a terrorist enabler, Dictator wanna be.

I apologize to the memory of all the soldiers and their sacrifices……

I promise I will
never give up the good fight.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal,
love leaves a memory no one can steal.

Bless them and bless you all Sweet Friends.

Thank you for your service and may God bless you George.
You are not forgotten.

If you are ashamed to stand by your colors, you had better seek another flag.

I cannot add anything more gracious, beautiful or fitting for our men in uniform.
