Hungarian PM appears on Internet as Hugh Grant
By Bernie on 13 Feb 2006
Hungary's most famous fan of Hugh Grant has taken his enthusiasm for the British actor to new heights.
A video clip available on YouTube starts with Grant in the movie Love Actually, in the role of the British prime minister peering out of the window in his room at 10 Downing Street.
But the man who then turns to face the camera is Hungary's Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany, who goes on to dance to a pop song around his study.
"The scene even surprised us who meet the Prime Minister daily and obviously know him in a way most people don't," wrote government spokesman Andras Batiz on his website.
Mr Gyurcsany said in his blog on the left-wing youth website that the video had been made as part of a wedding gift to Mr Batiz last year. More - Hungarian PM appears on Internet as Hugh Grant.
Kudos is certainly due the Prime Minister. Too few World Leaders have the testicles to show that they are just regular folk. Perhaps we'll have less pomp and hot air from them afterwards. George Bush used to have fun before he was President. Here's a picture of him and Saddam in the good old days before they had a falling out. Just a couple a guys roughing around. "Tell me you love them noogies, bitch."
