OTA - Vices Are Not Crimes

By Bernie on 10 Oct 2006:

worms

A minister decided that a visual demonstration would add emphasis to his Sunday sermon.

Four worms were placed into four separate jars.

worm

The first worm was put into a container of alcohol.

The second worm was put into a container of cigarette smoke.

The third worm was put into a container of chocolate syrup.

The fourth worm was put into a container of good clean soil.

At the conclusion of the sermon, the Minister reported the following results:

priest

The first worm in alcohol?
Dead.

whiskey

The second worm in cigarette smoke?
Dead .

cigarettes

The third worm in chocolate syrup?
Dead .

chocolate

The fourth worm in good clean soil?
Alive.

worm

So the Minister asked the congregation -

priest

What can you learn from this demonstration?

finger

Maxine was sitting in the back, quickly raised her hand and said,

maxine

"As long as you drink, smoke and eat chocolate, you won't have worms!"

Here is another instance where liberals misdiagnose the obvious: "Tax receipts have soared by over 35% from $1.78 trillion to $2.41 trillion. Yes, you on the Left cannot seem to grasp this, but cutting taxes on the people actually raise tax revenues and boosts the economy." From Common folk using common sense.

On Tuesdays and Wednesdays I host Open Trackback parties. This allows bloggers who have interesting posts to share them with my readers and therefore, presumably, a wider audience. My normal rules for linking, Bernie's 8 Rules, are suspended. That is, there is no set topic and as long as the post is not a splog entry, you can link whatever you like especially if it is offensive to Islam. Nothing linked here indicates that I either agree with or support or even like the opinions being expressed. But these bloggers generously host some of my insane, disgusting writings and I hope to repay them with this courtesy.

What is this?

Please send a trackback to this post, but don’t forget to link it. For other bloggers participating, visit linkfest haven to see other linkfests.

I encourage my regular visitors to click on trackbacks and give these bloggers a read
