Just Another Day of no terror
The new UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown in a BBC TV interview on Sunday did not feel it necessary to mention the word "Muslim" or "Islam" even once in regard to recent events in London and Glasgow and has even instructed his team – including new Home Secretary Jacqui Smith – that the phrase "war on terror” is to be dropped.
So here is just another average day, with no "War on Terror" going on, nothing to say about "Muslims" or "Islam":

Yemen Officials: We Feared Al Qaeda Attack, But Not Against TouristsYemeni security officials were warned about a possible al-Qaida attack, but said Tuesday they did not think it would include the suicide bombing that killed a group of Spanish tourists visiting a remote temple.
A regional official blamed the terrorist group for Monday's attack, which killed seven Spaniards and two Yemenis at the temple linked to the ancient Queen of Sheba. Governor Arief al-Zoka said the "security apparatus are chasing the plotters" and that "al-Qaida is behind it."

Clashes at Pakistan mosque leave 9 deadISLAMABAD, Pakistan - The tension long brewing around a radical mosque in Pakistan's capital burst into street battles Tuesday between security forces and black-robed fanatics who challenged the government by mounting a vigilante anti-vice campaign. At least nine people were killed and scores wounded in the clash, which underlined the concern at the spread of extremism in a country struggling to combat Taliban and al-Qaida militants.

Nigeria Muslim Leader Denies Calling for Jihad, says 'I Love Christians'THE Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Abubakar Saad III yesterday vowed to counter the upsurge of Christian evangelization in Nigeria with the message of Islam.
But Governor Namadi Sambo of Kaduna State has cautioned that the "good intention" of the Islamic leader in Nigeria could be hijacked by religious extremists to destabilize the country.
What? Extremists might misunderstand his message?

Thailand Religion of Peace slaughter updateThe following is the list of attacks made in Thailand by Muslim terrorists, predominately in the south of the country from 8-Jun-06 onwards. It is an update of my original, longer post. So far there are a staggering 57 attacks in my list.
What does the United Nations have to say about the slaughter being carried out by Muslims in the name of Islam? Oh, that's right. Nothing. What a shock. I'm happy to hear from anyone with a link to a site where the UN has criticised Islamic terrorists in Thailand. I've searched the UN archives and can't see anything.
27-Jun-07 A roadside bomb killed three people and wounded 17 in Thailand’s rebellious Muslim south as they were buying food on Wednesday, police said.
24-Jun-07 Suspected Muslim insurgents in southern Thailand fatally shot two paramilitary rangers and two Buddhists, then set their bodies on fire in two separate incidents on Sunday, police said.
23-Jun-07 Three teenage boys were killed and a Buddhist man slain and his body set on fire in separate attacks in Thailand’s restive southern provinces, police said Saturday.
22-Jun-07 Seperatist militants in southern Thailand shot a Muslim man and then partially severed his head, while the nation’s junta leader was visiting the region, police said today. The man, a 29-year-old local government official, was returning from evening prayers late Thursday when he was ambushed by suspected insurgents in Narathiwat province, police said.
19-Jun-07 A bomb exploded at a busy teashop in southern Thailand on Monday, wounding 13 people, police said. The bomb, hidden under a tree by the teashop near a government school in Yala province’s Bannang Sata district, seriously wounded four people, said police Lt. Yothin Wanthawee, who blamed suspected Muslim insurgents for the attack.

[it goes on and on and on - how boring.]
Of course, the War on Terror is just a Bush hoax to scare us into letting him become King of the United States. Yes, folks there are idiots, fools, imbeciles and morons who actually believe the War on Terror is one big scam.

UK Telegraph, Seven doctors held over al-Qa'eda bomb plot
An Indian doctor described as a "model citizen" has been arrested in Australia and a second doctor questioned in connection with the thwarted car bomb attacks in London and Glasgow.
Dr Mohamed Haneef, 27, who trained at a hospital in Liverpool before moving to Australia, was arrested at Brisbane airport as he tried to board a flight with a one way ticket to India.
His arrest broadens the international dimension of the investigation after seven people were arrested in Britain, almost all of whom are doctors.
One of them, a 26-year-old man, was arrested at Liverpool’s Lime Street Station on Saturday. They are allegedly linked to a plan to detonate two car bombs left in central London early on Friday and an attack on Glasgow city airport on Saturday using a fuel-laden Jeep.
Dr Haneef, who qualified as a doctor in Bangalore, India, in 2002, came to Australia in September last year after answering an advertisement in the British Medical Journal.
He was sponsored by Queensland’s health department and granted a working visa. He took up a position as a registrar at a hospital on the Gold Coast, a glitzy holiday resort south of Brisbane.
"[He] was regarded by the hospital as, in many senses, a model citizen — excellent references and so on," said Peter Beattie, the premier of Queensland, adding that Dr Haneef had "some connections to the incidents in the UK".
...
Questions were asked about whether Dr Haneef’s alleged terrorism links should have been picked up when he was vetted prior to being granted a visa.
"How can you screen for ideology and anger?" said Warren Reed, a former intelligence officer with the Australian Secret Intelligence Service.
"You can’t call it a failure on the part of the intelligence system at this stage."
It was "mind-boggling" that doctors had become involved in a plot to kill on a massive scale, Mr Reed said.
"They’re people we least suspect. It’s very frightening."
This last statement is quite idiotic. Muslims are not people we should least suspect.
