Sorry to say, but I'm a bit conflicted on this issue. Anything that destroys the UAW hold on our trucking industry is a good thing. On the other hand, we do need to control who comes into this country.

As for drugs, stop the war on drugs and make drugs legal and there won't be any more drug crimes or incentive for Mexicans to engage in it. If we could just get over the moral issues of drugs there would be less drug abuse in this country. We have millions of drug addicts in this country precisely because it's illegal.

When cocaine and heroin were legal in the last century we never had this monumental problem.

The prohibition of alcohol is what led to the emergence of powerful organized crime families. As much as alcohol is a horrible drug, having it be legal has kept urban gangs from selling it on street corners and killing each other over it.

Twenty years ago I was a close friend of a one-time lawyer for the Teamsters by the name of Harvey John-Paul who spent a number of years in federal prison for stock fraud. After he was released I did some software programming for him and he visited me a number of times at my home. I can tell you that the increased price you pay for teamsters hauling our products does not all go into maintaining the livelihood of those truckers. The corruption, skimming, bribery, and waste is incomprehensible to the average American.

The leftists in this country know what it takes to destroy America: General President Jim Hoffa and other Teamsters held a rally and cookout following the YearlyKos convention to stress the importance of joining forces to build a stronger progressive movement for working families. More than 1,500 people attended, including bloggers and Chicago-area Teamsters who came out to show their support.

But when you’ve gone to trade shows for a while, they become some of the most grating, irritating places on earth. This year marks the third year that I’ve been going to trade shows and I, as an intern, attend about eight a year.

And nothing like dealing with the Teamsters Union–those lazy jackasses that run the trade shows. Don’t get me wrong–I’m sure there’s plenty of people that work hard for the Teamsters–they just don’t work at trade shows. F*ck the Teamsters. I invite anyone to tell me one good thing about them … other than the fact that Jimmy Hoffa got what he deserved.

And if you are worried that the Mexican truckers will be bringing illegal drugs and human smuggling, over 4.5 million Mexican trucks already cross our borders every year. If each one carried only 5 or 10 illegals we would have the entire population of Mexico in this country in two years. That isn't how the majority of drugs and illegals come into this country.
