Muslim Games
When I was a child (1950) I was in thrall to movies like The Prince Who Was a Thief and Thief of Bagdad. While the latter won Academy Awards for art direction, color cinematography, and special effects, the former would be practically unwatchable today.
One of the reasons children can enjoy films like The Prince Who Was a Thief is that children are not critical; they find no need to notice Tony Curtis' horrible New York accent which is rather jarring in an Arabic setting. The plot is so-so but the acting is pretty horrible for sophisticated audiences. But I loved it.
When children watch movies it is not unlike liberals watching Islamic atrocities. The left will accept any Muslim barbarity or attack against the West as if it were an inconsequential plot-line in a film. After all, no one who watched War of the Worlds actually believed we were in any danger of attack from Martians.
In the same manner Liberals will treat factual news reports of Muslim attacks against the West as "Bush Fear-Mongering". And in the few instances when they have to admit that something horrible happened, such as the WTC attack, because it's impossible to deny the hole in the ground, they deny Muslim responsibility and instead blame it on Bush himself bringing it down, or if that doesn't fly, that Bush knew about it in advance and did nothing just so he could attack Iraq two years later knowing full well that Saddam would refuse at the peril of invasion to let weapons inspectors in (how did Bush know that Saddam wouldn't blink? Crafty devil that Bush), or if that's too far-fetched, Bush had the Mossad do the demolition, etc. ad nauseum. Just like little children who want to deny that they raided the cookie jar and instead blame the missing cookies on elves or aliens from another planet, so too will Liberals spin the most outrageous contortions of fantasy rather than accept the simple, unspun reality: Islam is evil and a danger to the Western World. Those who disagree cannot give real world examples to counter that argument and so throw up accusations of racism or bigotry. How would they have sounded 80 years ago?
Bernie: "Islam Nazism is an evil, violent, and barbaric political ideology."
Liberal: "What, early Christians the Romans weren't violent and barbaric? That's just racist"
Bernie: "Who's talking about early Christians Romans?"
Liberal: "Well, you are singling out Muslims Nazis as if they were the only ones who ever killed anyone."
Bernie: "It is obvious that instead of dealing with the problem of Islam Nazism directly, since you have no excuse for their barbarism, you bring up past history that is not material to my argument. And it is not racism if what you say is true. It is not racism to say that Islam Nazis were a danger to the rest of world because in fact that is exactly what they unashamedly broadcast to the world: One Caliphate Reich ruled by Islam the Aryan race. Anyone who refuses to see the threat of Islam is living in a fantasy world.
And speaking of Islamic fantasy, a tip of the turban to Kathy at Five Feet of Fury for pointing us to:
Springwise,
Arabian LordsInspired by the rise of Islam between the 7th and 13th centuries, Arabian Lords is a bilingual strategy game targeted specifically at Middle Eastern players. Gamers take the role of an enterprising merchant lord, and through a combination of strategy and city-building, they try to grow their influence from just one palace to an entire ancient empire. As they gain prestige and wealth, they must engage in competition and shrewd diplomacy against rival factions while keeping their own customers and citizens happy and their communities thriving. Beggars, thieves and vandals can be sent to sabotage an opponent, for example, while musicians, poets and bards can be used to help a market flourish. Players are rewarded for successful negotiation and leadership, not military might or violence.
That's how you know the game has nothing to do with the reality of the Middle East: "Players are rewarded for successful negotiation and leadership, not military might or violence."
Here's how the game is played in Iran, children used to clear minefields:

Are 500,000 Keys to Paradise Enough?: Germany "Confronts" AhmadinejadIn pondering the behavior of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, I cannot help but think of the 500,000 plastic keys that Iran imported from Taiwan during the Iran-Iraq War of 1980-88. At the time, an Iranian law laid down that children as young as 12 could be used to clear mine fields. Before every mission, a plastic key would be hung around each of the children’s necks. It was supposed to open for them the gates to paradise.
In American culture every time a bell rings an angel gets its wings. In Islam, every time a bomb explodes a martyr gets to bang a couple of happy, willing virgins. Any Muslim apologist disagree with this? Or am I exaggerating?
