Do Muslims Believe anything in the Bible?
One of the great taqiyyas broadcast by Muslims is that they believe in the Torah of the Jews and the Gospels of the Christians. If fact, they believe in neither. According to Muslims, at the time of Mohammed, the Holy Books of the Jews and Christians were corruptions and inaccurate representations of the original works. In order to correct the situation Allah sent the angel Gabriel with the pure, unadulterated truth to Mohammed who set the complete and final revelation of God in the absolute and perfect Qur'an.
If the Torah and the Gospels contain the original, untarnished, uncorrupted texts of the Holy Word of God, why would we even need the Qur'an? No, dear infidel, when Muslims say they respect Jews and Christians because we are "people of the book," it is nothing but a lie to lower our guard, to make us think that Islam is a real religion instead of the fraud it really is. When Muslims read passages in the Qur'an that are supposedly from "the Bible" they are reading words that do not exist in either the Torah or the Gospels. Muslims believe in only the parts of the Bible that agree with the Qur'an. The parts that contradict the Qur'an are not the Truth [Answering Christianity].
In this manner Muslims quote so-called passages from their version of the "Bible" to persuade idiot Christians who barely know their own religion to convert to Islam. Hey, we're just a continuation of Judaism and Christianity only better.
For example, In the Old Testament, as we in the western world know it, it is Isaac that was to be sacrificed by Abraham; in the Qur'an, however, it's changed to Ishmael, who according to Arabian vanity was the progenitor of the Arab race. In this way, Muslims, not Jews, can claim to be God's people. In the Gospels, Jesus is crucified; in the Qur'an, Allah put a mask on some poor shlub who was mistakenly crucified in His place (Qur'an, 4:157). In this way, Jesus is just another prophet no different than the hundreds who preceded him. Verses from the Old Testament that could have pointed to Jesus, can now point to Mohammed instead. Is this how Islam reveres the Bible, by changing it entirely?
And those with limited intelligence and knowledge of religion buy into this crap and convert. But Bernie, you may ask, what do you care if morons, imbeciles, and idiots convert to Islam? Why don't you mind your own business? Fact of the matter is, I don't care if someone converts to Islam as long as it's not in this country. Unfortunately when someone becomes a Muslim in America they still have the right to vote and one day, given enough Muslims, the things that make America America will be gone, voted away by a Muslim majority without enough sense to look at how Islam is practiced in the rest of the world.
I will not bother to quote those parts of the Qur'an or the Hadiths where Muslims are instructed to treat the "people of the book" fairly. Why bother when those are ignored and instead verses like this are broadcast on Palestinian TV?
