When Christians go Wild
A reader left a comment to my article Islam is a Phony Religion making the argument that just as we do not judge all of Christianity by the actions of a few psychopaths (giving the example of the bombing of abortion clinics), so should we not judge Islam by the acts of some of its followers.
I responded:
When Christians behave savagely they are strongly condemned and no ecclesiastical polity sanctions, excuses, or condones the acts.
When Muslims behave savagely, [engage in] honor killings, stoning, hanging of gays, etc, it is done not only with the knowledge of an Islamic government, but with its blessings and under its authority.
When Christians go wild, 99% of Christians are appalled. When Muslims go wild, hundreds of thousands celebrate in the streets, hang posters of the martyrs in their windows, pen poesies of their savagery, and dance in the street as they did on 9/11.
Please, there is no comparison.
When Christians act barbaric it is indeed an aberration and makes it to the news. When Muslims act barbaric, it rarely makes it to the front page of any major daily paper. As of today, The Religion of Peace Blog has racked up more than 11499 deadly terror attacks since 9/11 or about 4.5 Muslim attacks every single day for every single year since 9/11. How many do you read about in your local paper? One a day? Not likely. One a week? Hardly. Maybe one every few months? Maybe. Obviously Muslim barbarity is no aberration - it is so commonplace even I have lost interest in posting individual examples of Islamic butchery. I don't think I can actually write 11,500 articles on Muslim brutalities.
It is sad when Christians defend Islam because they view it as a religion just like theirs. When Jesus said, "If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also," he was not talking about a madman with an AK-47. We can all ask, "what would Jesus do?" but that is not what matters - what matters is what would Mohammed do? And we know what Mohammed would do. Mohammed would make sure that there are no Christians left to ask the first question.
When a Muslim approaches with a rose - look carefully.
