Old Style Persuading will not work in Iran

One of the biggest problems in this country is that our leaders think that Muslims are like everyone else. For example, read this press release from the US Department of State on Reaching Out to the People of Iran:

As the Secretary noted in her February 15 Senate testimony, we will work with our friends and allies on a range of measures to reach out to the Iranian people and support their calls for freedom. These will include:

  • Empowering Iranian Civil Society: The Administration will spend at least $10 million in FY06 funds to support the cause of freedom in Iran this year. These funds will be used to support political dissidents, labor union leaders and human rights activists. We will also work with NGOs to help build networks of support inside and outside Iran.
  • Promoting Iranian Democracy: An additional $15 million will foster participation in the political process and support efforts to expand internet access as a tool for civic organization. Working with NGOs and through organizations such as the International Republican Institute, National Democratic Institute and National Endowment for Democracy we will support civic education and work to help organize Iranian labor unions and political organizations.

Actually, the Iranians are not dissatisfied with their government or their madman President Ahmedinejad. In a recent Iranian public opinion poll:

The findings of the WorldPublicOpinion.org (WPO) and Terror Free Tomorrow (TFT) surveys offer two messages to those wanting to see change in Iran's policies: (1) Iranians want their government to talk with the U.S. about specific issues and approve of their government's making policy concessions on both regional issues and its nuclear program in order to achieve normalized relations with the U.S. (2) At the same time, Iranians are relatively content with their government's responsiveness to their needs. The shortcomings many Iranians perceive in their economy are not widely blamed on President Ahmadinejad's government. While most Iranians reject the idea of a religious autocracy, most are not unhappy with the way they see their leaders being chosen and governing the country.

Our government may think that Iranians are ready to overthrow the harsh theocratic rule of the Imams, however Iran is almost entirely Muslim so they don't care if they are whipped and tortured as long as they live under Sharia law. Being a Muslim means you accept any barbarism in the name of Islam. Muslims are not like everyone else and techniques used in South America to overthrow regimes will not work with Muslims.

A Muslim can be your friend and at the same time pay someone to slit your throat. Look at Saudi Arabia; it supports terrorism so that one day the modern industrialized world will be overthrown. It does this knowing that it might mean the end to oil revenues. A world Caliphate is more important than wealth and prosperity.

Iranian Population supports terror.

Even the supposed Iranian people's love of Americans is a two-faced lie; from the same poll above:

Iranians support the military assistance their government provides Hamas, Hezbollah and Iraqi Shiite militias. Apparently, this assistance is not viewed by most Iranians as an effort to expand Iran's influence, which would be incompatible with their preferred goals of cooperative relations with its neighbors and normalized relations with the U.S.

Yes, their smiles say they want good relations with the US but in action they support world terror.

Iran and yes, even the Iranian people, because of their duplicity and support of our enemies, deserve a good bitch-slap bombing. The US is making a grave mistake in discouraging Israel from doing the right thing in Iran. What, are we worried that Iran will start supporting terror? They are already doing so and with the consent and support of the population. Setting up websites to promote democracy in Iran is like sending Hallmark greeting cards to Nazis urging them to be kinder to Jews.

Iran was once a land filled with Zoroastrians, Jews, and Christians. Most have fled, converted, or been killed. Iran is now 98% Muslim and in a few short years will be 100% Muslim no matter how much money our government spends on pro-democracy websites. Democracy is incompatible with Islam. The Muslims know this. I know this. Some of you know this. I can't wait for our government to know as well.

And while we try to negotiate with Iran, they slowly, surely will develop nuclear capability. Then we'll be able to control Iran the same way we control Russia when it invades her neighbors.

The time to bomb is now. Since America does not have the stomach for it, let the who be Israel.
