Jews Were Fighters Once
We are in the middle of Hanukkah which this year is between the 21st and 29th of December. Here's the short of it, if you don't know: 175 years before the common era, the Syrian king Antiochus IV demanded all Jews to become Greek. Some Jews converted or assimilated and those who refused were killed.
8 years later, Syrian soldiers tried to force Mattathias, an elderly and respected Jewish priest to bow to the statue of Zeus which Mattathias declined to do.
After his death, his sons, and a group of followers (known as the Maccabees, or "hammers") fought a battle against the immense Syrian army. Miraculously they won.
In 165 B.C.E. the Maccabees triumphantly returned to Jerusalem to find the Temple desecrated and set about rebuilding it. Miraculously one drop of oil lasted 8 days which were exactly the number of days needed to restore the Temple.
And so today in this time in history while most of world Jewry celebrates the miracle of Hanukkah and the eight days of light, I celebrate the chutzpah of spirit that fought against a superior army and won. I honor the memory of those Jews who recognized evil and refused to tolerate it.
The Greatest Threat Today: Islam
Today we are faced with a similar evil by an enemy even more immense than the Syrian army of old. The enemy comprises one-fourth of the world's peoples and more than 57 nations which infest the center of our planet like a growing cancer.
Let me digress for a moment. In the time of my youth, my father spoke often of Nazis and how they killed almost the entirety of his family in Poland. He did not rail against Nazism or Hitler (although he loathed both), but viciously blamed Nazis for the evil perpetrated against the world.
My father spent a number of years in the Soviet Union, a few after he was conscripted into the Soviet Army when the Bolsheviks took over his town in 1920 (he later escaped) and another 8 years two decades later from 1939 until 1946. Some of the remaining few relatives he had that were not killed by Nazis, were killed by Communists. He did not rail against Communism or Stalin (although he loathed both), but viciously blamed Communists for the evil perpetrated against the world.
If he were alive today he would say that guns do not kill people, people kill people.
Years later I asked why he didn't blame the ideology more than the people for the evil in the world. It was then he explained to me that the lesson to be learned from the story of the Maccabees was that if men were evil it was because they chose to be so. Mattathias could have become Greek but instead chose to remain a Jew; as a Greek he would be as evil as other Greeks who forced men to submit to their religion or die.
Too Many Jews Tolerate Islam
It was my father who early on taught me that the world is filled with evil men and that they should not be tolerated. Sadly, many Jews in the civilized world only celebrate the miracle of the candles and not the miracle of intolerance toward evil. I receive many comments and emails from supposed fellow Jews who decry my intolerance of Muslims. It should be recalled that many, many Jews were members of the Communist Party in Soviet Russia. Eventually they got what they deserved.
I have no doubt that many Muslims living today are descendants of Jews who submitted to Islam. Those original Jews obviously got what they deserved, great-great-great-grandchildren enslaved to a primitive, backward prison-cult called Islam.
Those obsequious, fawning, servile, pitiful Jews who are so willing to be tolerant of the greatest evil in this world, whose evil followers have slaughtered hundreds of millions of souls, more than Stalin, more than Hitler, more than both combined, those Jews will one day also get what they deserve. Those Jews are the enemies of civilization just as much as al Qaeda, perhaps even more dangerous since they appear to be nothing more than harmless Liberals.
Happy Hanukkah to my Jewish readers, Merry Christmas to my Christian readers, Happy Winterfest to my pagan friends, and happy Festivus to all others. It should be noted that Festivus is celebrated today, 23 Dec.
Related: Speaking of Maccabees, my father helped start the Maccabee Sports Club in 1923 in the Polish town of Ciechanowiec and was its first chairman. When my father left Ciechanowiec in 1939 shortly before the start of the war, the town had almost 6,000 Jewish souls. After the war there were almost none.
As to the cartoon, these are liberal lemmings who go along unquestioningly with political correctness, tolerant of Islam, with dangerous and fatal consequences. I have in previous articles voiced my view of Jew lemmings who went to their deaths in gas chambers because they refused to open their eyes to the evil before them. American Liberal Jews who write that I am a racist are the same Jews who in 1930s Germany told their fellow Jews that everything would be OK, nothing to worry about. They got what they deserved; the idiot tolerant Jews of today will get theirs.
And yes, I know that the idea of Lemmings as mindlessly marching rodents is a myth of sorts, although lemmings do march into the sea, it's not purposeful suicide.
A tip of the turban to The Way I See It, Anyway for pointing us to the lemming artwork.
