Last Saturday the watchdog group Internet Watch Foundation (UK) placed Wikipedia on its blacklist when the group was told the encyclopedia had published the cover of a 1970s Scorpions album, Virgin Killer, featuring a naked prepubescent girl. Because of the blacklist Wikipedia was unable to verify its UK editors and had to block them while the ban remains in effect.

Virgin Killer is the fourth studio album by the German heavy metal band Scorpions. It was released in 1976, and was the first album of the band to attract attention outside Europe. The original cover, shown here, featured a naked prepubescent girl, stirred controversy in the United States and elsewhere; it was subsequently reissued with a different cover [Wiki].

The IWF said in a statement: "The content was considered to be a potentially illegal indecent image of a child under the age of 18."

Unless the child is having sex or simulating it, a naked image of a young girl is not indecent. What century are we living in? This is what happens when you go overboard with censorship. Before you scream, "But think of the children!", that's exactly what I am doing. I don't want my children growing up in a world where the human body is considered filthy and obscene. Nakedness is not obscene. I cannot think of a greater danger to society than idiots that want to put the whole world into a Muslim-state of mind. Next we will be covering up women from head to toe to prevent men from being tempted sexually by their sizzling, sexy bodies.

Seeing filthy, sexual things in innocent children is the real perversion. That's where this is leading to, a primitive, 7th century, barbaric mind-set.
