British Disproportionate Response

Nazi Germany bombed London between 7 September 1940 and 10 May 1941 in what is widely known as the Blitz. The purpose of course was to demoralize Britain into submission. And while it must have been hell for Londoners to endure air raid sirens for 8 months in a row, it's nothing compared to the 8 continuous years of rocket attacks, now more than 50 a day, that Israelis had to and continue to endure.

It must be remembered that rocket attacks are psychological weapons and while less than 0.00086 of Britain's population were actually killed by bombs their impact made daily living nearly impossible. I suppose the Nazis could shrug and say that 99+% of the population safely got to air raid shelters so hey, what's the big deal?

The British did not think it was a small matter and took it personally and decided to ask us to join the war against Nazi Germany. We wound up killing 7,393,000 Germans of which 1,700,000 were civilians. Now this is 171 times worse than the 8 months of bombing caused so I suppose we can say this was a highly Disproportionate response to just a lousy 8 months of bombing. Fortunately for the world, goofballs who wanted to defend weaponless, innocent Germans from being killed did not have access to the Internet in the 1940s.

So now let us return to the Gaza bombings. Let's be fair. Since only 15 Israelis died then I think we should only call for a stop to the Gaza bombing when the death toll reaches 2,565 Gazans which would be equal to the Allies' response to the Blitz. So until then, please stop all the whining about weaponless and innocent Palestinians dying. Yeah, the missiles went flying by themselves.

We do want to be fair, eh?

I was in Jerusalem during the 6 Day War and was stuck in an air raid shelter for a few hours and it was the most harrowing experience of my life. I feel for the poor residents of the towns in Israel that get missiles every single day - that is no way to live. Is it worse in Gaza? They should have thought about that before they voted for HAMAS. I certainly wouldn't let my neighbor send missiles into Brooklyn thereby endangering my family to retaliation. If I did nothing and Brooklyn bombed back, I would have no excuse, I'd deserve everything I got.
