Hamas Dupes Norwegian Dr Mads Gilbert from Planck's Constant

I reported previously that Dr Mads Gilbert was a Palestinian shill. As soon as he arrived in Israel he began sending SMS phone messages from Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza that were cited in news reports throughout Europe as if they were true. Here is one such message:

One message read obtained by MENASSAT read: "We are swimming in death, blood, and amputated victims. Many children. Pregnant women. I've never experienced anything so awful."

In the sms, Gilbert also claimed that Gaza's main vegetable market had been bombed on Monday morning, killing 20 people and injured 80.

Gilbert’s messages eventually became a doctor’s cry for people to take action to pressure European governments to pressure their leaders into brokering a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

'Send it (the SMS) along, call it out. DO SOMETHING! DO MORE!,' Gilbert pleads in one SMS, adding, "We shouldn't call ourselves decent Europeans if we don't act to stop this."

So how did Dr. Gilbert learn about this marketplace massacre? Perhaps he was shown this video with the title "ISRAEL CARNAGE CIVILIANS CHILDREN GAZA" from Muslimtv.magnify.net":

Unfortunately it's a hoax, as explained by a commenter on Reddit:

It was not taken in a civilian market, and it was not the result of an IDF air strike.

This video is from September 23rd 2005, and was taken in the Jabalya refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip. A Hamas pick-up truck carrying Qassam rockets detonated by mistake during a Hamas rally, leaving at least 15 killed and dozens more injured.

The pick-up truck in question is visible for a split-second at the start of the video. The section of the video showing the pick-up exploding has been edited out. The large number of Hamas personnel present, the number of injured in military uniform, the large number of civilians and Hamas flags all over the place confirm this.

After the blast, men carried bodies wrapped in blankets and body parts to nearby cars.

At Shifa Hospital in Gaza, doctors treated patients on the emergency room floor because they ran out of beds. Masked Hamas men wheeled in casualties, including children.

The truck was not heavily damaged by the blast.

One witness, Hazem Abu Rashad, 18, said the truck had two rockets in its bed. Three militants rode in the back and at least three more were inside, he said.

Anti-Semitic websites like The Truth Will Set You Free initially posted the same video but retracted the story when they discovered they were duped, although they blamed the posting on a pro-Israeli blogger speculating that it was put up on Reddit purposely just so it could be debunked later. This ignores the fact that many Jew-hating websites and forums had already put it up on their own :

The real question: "is Dr. Gilbert a duped moron or a knowing co-conspirator shilling for the Palestinians?"
