What is Scarier - Nuclear Iran or Windows Running the Plant?
The photo above is from a UPI story on Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant in Bushehr Port. (Click on photo for larger view) Here is the caption:
An error is seen on a computer screen of Bushehr nuclear power plant's map in the Bushehr Port on the Persian Gulf, 1,000 kms south of Tehran, Iran on February 25, 2009. Iranian officials said the long-awaited power plant was expected to become operational last fall but its construction was plagued by several setbacks, including difficulties in procuring its remaining equipment and the necessary uranium fuel.
Well, here is a quandary: On the one hand we have nuclear Iran headed by a madman who is waiting for the return of the Hidden Imam who, for Shiite Muslims, will usher in the cosmic struggle at the end of time resulting in the final victory of Islam over the infidels. On the other hand, we have Iran's Nuclear Program running on an unlicensed copy of Windows. I wonder how you cool a reactor when the dreaded blue screen comes up?
I can't decide which scares me more.
Of course, if someone can guarantee to me that an uncontrolled nuclear explosion at Bushehr will be limited only to Iran and will result in 66 million less Muslims in the world, then I would not hesitate to pay for the Windows License so that Mad Mahmud can continue his nuclear ambitions.
