The Terrorist Next Door

A tip of the turban Hat Tip to blogger Kathy Shaidle of five feet of fury for pointing us to a Vdare Blog article discussing Obama's plan to import foreign enemies into American communities (1). What is interesting is not that the vast majority of Americans are opposed to allowing this (75% opposed plus 12% not sure) but that 13% are in favor.

So here's my guess at the 13%: From my article 13 Reasons Obama Won the Election, I wrote that 95 percent of the black vote went for Obama. Since 12.4% of the American people are Black or African American (2), I am guessing that almost every black who thinks Obama can do no wrong also thinks it's a good idea to let Gitmo detainees come to the states, this gives us 11.78% (95% of 12.4%) of the population too stupid to realize the danger of Obama's proposal.

The remaining 1.22% is the number of non-black Muslims living in the US. Although there is no accurate percentage count of the number of Muslims in the United States (they range from 0.5% to 2.2% Wiki), this survey indirectly gives us the true Muslim population, since I believe most of the Muslims in this country don't mind more Muslims living here, even if they might be terrorists.

VDARE Blog, Visa Category for Terrorists? No Thanks.

President Obama’s intelligence chief said last week that some inmates at the Guantanamo terrorist prison camp may be released in the United States, but just 13% of U.S. voters think that should be allowed.

Seventy-five percent (75%) say Guantanamo inmates should not be released in this country, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Twelve percent (12%) are not sure.

For 75% of voters, safety is more important than fairness in determining where terrorist suspects are released. Only 17% say fairness is more important.
