Memorial Day 2009
By Bernie on 25 May 2009
Memorial Day weekend has become a tradition where we celebrate the commencement of Summer. We have backyard barbecues, parades and family outings.
What I wish is that some President would ask the public to make it a tradition as well to light one candle sometime during the weekend to say the words, "We remember all of our fallen heroes. We honor their sacrifice that allows us to enjoy the freedom in the greatest Nation in the history of the world. You are not forgotten - you are always in the thoughts of a most grateful nation."
