When You Have Absolutely Nothing to Do
By Bernie on 01 May 2009

There occurs once every billion seconds of my life a few minutes when I have absolutely nothing to do. Before you hit the calculator, 1 billion seconds is a little over 31 years. And so it was that a few days ago, for the second time in my life, I encountered such a few minutes in which I had absolutely nothing to do. I'm a devil at keeping my brain occupied and I recall coming upon this website based on Ragdoll's PBS Boohbah television show. The site has no purpose in life other than to keep a person occupied to no good purpose with various boohbah noises and myriad kaleidoscopic patterns.
When you get there click on anything. Then mouse over the boohbahs and figure out what to do next.
So yes, it does happen every three decades or so that I am not thinking of the Islamic threat to world civilization, or reading books or running a few business enterprises, traveling to Europe, the Middle East or India, programming some software, or even ogling beautiful women.
Trivia: "Boohbah" means "doll" in Hebrew. Some of my non-Jewish readers may have heard Jews use the term "bubbala" as a term of endearment.
