America and Islam are mutually exclusive
Despite what Obama said in his speech, America and Islam are mutually exclusive.
If you are born in America, you can renounce your citizenship without incurring the death penalty. If you are born a Muslim, you renounce your religion under the penalty of death. (Unless you are a woman, where you only get lashed)
In America women are free to be immodest. Under Islam, you must wear garments that make you appear modest.
In America you are free to say religion sucks. Under Islam you are only permitted to say some other religion sucks.
In America we are a nation of many religions. In the Islamic world there is only one religion spread over many nations. For example, there is the Organization of the Islamic Conference, but there is no equal organization of Catholic, or Buddhist, or Hindu countries.
In America you are free to call George Bush a dirty rotten fascist bastard. In Islamic countries you are forced to call George Bush a dirty rotten fascist bastard.
American women have a right to vaginal stimulation. Muslim women have a right to vaginal mutilation.
Americans fight wars to liberate. Muslims fight wars to enslave.
In America, women are allowed to marry whoever they love. Muslim women who marry those they love are usually killed because they disobeyed their parents.
In America, beating your wife is illegal. Under Islam it is encouraged (1).
In America we are governed under the laws of man. In Islam, Muslims and Dhimmis are governed under the laws of God.
In America the Earth revolves around the Sun. In Islam, the Sun revolves around the Earth (2).
In America there is a mosque in every major city that has Muslims. In Islamic countries there is a mosque in every major city that has Muslims.
In America there is no excuse for raping a woman. In Islam, unveiled women are asking for rape (3).
America encourages immigrants to become Americans. Islam discourages Muslim immigrants from assimilating into any culture (4).
America is a way of life. Islam is a way of death.
America: hundreds of years of unimpeded progress. Islam: 1400 years of impeding progress.

Certainly in the United States and in Europe one can find many instances of women being abused by their husbands. The difference however is that western nations do not have in their constitutions any justification for the beating of wives while the Qur'an has detailed instructions on why, how and when they should be beaten

In a Ramadan sermon in a Sydney mosque, Sheik al-Hilali suggested that a group of Muslim men recently jailed for many years for gang rapes were not entirely to blame.
There were women, he said, who 'sway suggestively' and wore make-up and immodest dress "and then you get a judge without mercy and gives you 65 years. But the problem, but the problem all began with who?" he said, referring to the women victims.
Addressing 500 worshippers on the topic of adultery, Sheik al-Hilali added: "If you take out uncovered meat and place it outside on the street, or in the garden or in the park, or in the backyard without a cover, and the cats come and eat it..whose fault is it - the cats or the uncovered meat?
"The uncovered meat is the problem."
He went on: "If she was in her room, in her home, in her hijab (veil), no problem would have occurred."
