The Stren Fishing Line Bikini

When I was 6 years old my mother took me to the women's locker room at Orchard Beach to change, see Why I do not Go Naked Into the Sun. It was not unusual in those days for youngsters like myself to put on my swimming trunks among naked and semi-naked women. No one paid attention to me.

In 1951 women's bathing suits looked like the photo on the left. They covered all the naughty bits; however for years afterward I thought women's belly buttons were erotic things. (See what happens when you hide things from little boys?)

I knew I was born too soon when I read my first science fiction novel, "The Time Machine," by H.G. Wells. But it wasn't until I received the following email that I realized how too-soon-born I really was:

From my faithful reader Bernard Wishnia:

The Stren Line company recently sponsored a swimsuit competition.

The only requirement was that the swimsuit be held up by fishing line.

Here is the winner : It's held in place with clear fish line (Warning *** Very, very NSFW, only click on image for larger view if you can stand looking at nearly-naked women):

For those technical buffs out there, the fishing line in question is Stren DuraTuf, a silicone fishing line that is self-lubricating, although women wearing these bikinis are probably as self-lubricating as they need to be.

This has been another useless article in my category Beautiful Women, specifically posted for my Muslim readers who most likely will not see a houri (white-skinned virgin) until they enter Paradise by way of Jihad.
