Swimming with Muslims
By Bernie on 18 Aug 2009
Moderate, non-violent, law-abiding Muslims have done it again in the UK: made the local authorities so scared of them that the locals felt they had to impose Islamic rules on non-Muslims so that Muslims would not be offended.
Infidels using public swimming pools are now told they must comply with the "modest" code of dress required by Islamic custom, with women covered from the neck to the ankles and men, who swim separately, covered from the navel to the knees 1.
If Muslims view infidels as improperly dressed for public swimming, it is only a matter of time before they find infidels are improperly dressed on the public streets.
As I have written previously that the greatest threat to Western Civilization is not al Qaeda or Muslim terrorists; it is your common, ordinary, average, moderate Muslim.
Amazingly, the French are showing more testicules than the Brits: two weeks ago a woman in France, a convert to Islam, was turned away from a public pool for wearing a burqini 2, and rightly so. No civilized child should be exposed to women who gladly and proudly wear the symbols of their subjugation just as no child in America should see blacks proudly parading around in shackles and chains as if that were their natural place in society.
If you don't know what burqinis are, please read my post on them here.
Update: thank God, a few hours ago a London council has backtracked on rules forcing swimmers to cover up at a public pool to avoid offending Muslims after there was a public outcry over the matter 3.
This is why it is important to resist every single attempt by Muslims to have accommodations made for them.

The Telegraph, Swimmers are told to wear burkinis
Under the rules, swimmers – including non-Muslims – are barred from entering the pool in normal swimming attire.
Instead they are told that they must comply with the "modest" code of dress required by Islamic custom, with women covered from the neck to the ankles and men, who swim separately, covered from the navel to the knees.
...
Swimmers were told last week on the centre's website that "during special Muslim sessions male costumes must cover the body from the navel to the knee and females must be covered from the neck to the ankles and wrists".
There are similar rules at Scunthorpe Leisure Centre, in North Lincolnshire, where "users must follow the required dress code for this session (T-shirts and shorts/leggings that cover below the knee)".
In Glasgow, a men-only swimming session is organised by a local mosque group at North Woodside Leisure Centre, at which swimmers must be covered from navel to knee.
...
The dress codes have provoked an angry reaction among critics who say they encourage division and resentment between Muslims and non-Muslims, putting strain on social cohesion.
...
"I don't think that in a local authority pool I should have to wear a particular type of clothes for the benefit of someone else. That's not integration or cohesion."
...
After discovering the rules at Thornton Heath one Croydon resident, 34-year-old Alex Craig, said: "I think it is preposterous that a council should be encouraging this type of segregation over municipal facilities.
"Surely if Muslims want to swim then they should just turn up with their modest swimwear at the same time as everyone else."

The cutting edge, Secular France Piqued by Muslim Bathing Attire
The debate over Muslim attitudes regarding clothing, especially for women, took another turn in France when on August 1 a woman was refused admission to a public swimming pool in a Parisian suburb. The citizen identified as “Carole” had previously frequented the pool but was this time turned back by administrators who decided that her bathing costume, which some call "a burkini," was not acceptable.
In a country famed for its topless beaches and sun-loving bathers, Carole was turned away for wearing a garment that revealed nothing but her face, hands, and feet, much in the tradition of Muslim countries such as Iran and Saudi Arabia that impose strict dress codes on women.
Having been previously allowed to bathe at the pool in her aquatic hijab, Carole went to the nearest police station to file a complaint that she had been subjected to illegal “segregation.” Said the convert to Islam, “I understand that it is something that may come as a surprise, but what bothers me the most is that they would have me believe that it is a political problem.” Carole is planning to file suit against the town of Emerainville, which operates the pool.

London Evening Standar, Swimming pool's dress code for non-Muslims is scrapped
Croydon council has removed the guidelines from its website after being criticised for barring non-Muslims if they refused to comply with the dress code.
They were put in place for weekend swimming sessions for Muslims at Thornton Heath Leisure Centre despite a general ban on wearing T-shirts in the pool.
