Detroit Bomber Proves Islam is a Death Cult
By Bernie on 27 Dec 2009
Apologists for Islam often claim that it is poverty and hopelessness that lead some Muslims to Jihad. Idiot John C. Bersia writing for the Orlando Sentinel wrote:
Jihad Watch, Back to Square One
I do believe, though, that nations could stop a fair amount - probably the bulk - of today's terrorism if they mustered the gumption to fix problems that insult human decency: poverty, a lack of opportunity, human-rights violations and statelessness, to list but a few.
But as Robert Spencer noted in the same article, "If it's all about poverty, why isn't Haiti a terrorist state? Or Bolivia? And study after study has shown that jihadists are not poor and hopeless."
Yes there may be a few poor, unemployed, hopeless Muslim young men 1 who want to become suicide bombers in order to gain a better life in the hereafter, but there are also rich, employed, and filled-with-opportunity Muslims like Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the 23-year-old Nigerian man who lived the life of luxury 2 and was charged Saturday with trying to destroy a Detroit-bound airliner on Christmas Day. The common theme here is not hopelessness or wretched poverty but Islam itself.
Mohammed preached that the world is divided into two nation groups: dar al-Islam, the house of Islam and dar al-Harb, the house of war. There will be no peace in the world until all kafirs are converted, subjugated or killed. Islam is built on only one pillar: a world filled only with Muslims.
Your Muslim friend or employee or neighbor who is Muslim in name only may not be a threat, but certainly any Muslim who takes his religion seriously is an enemy of this country and every civilized nation on Earth. The problem of course, is how to tell the truly religious from those who are not.

"We were told to fight against Israel, America and non-Muslims," said Muhammed Bakhtiar, 17, explaining why he wanted to become a suicide bomber. "We are so unhappy with our lives here. We have nothing," he said.

Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab lived a life of extraordinary privilege before he turned to terror.
The son of a wealthy Nigerian banker, Abdulmutallab was educated at top schools in Africa and Britain - and dwelled in homes worth millions, his relatives said.
The baby-faced extremist's last known address was a $4 million flat in one of London's poshest neighborhoods.
