50 Most Beautiful Female Celebrities

Whenever I see a list of the supposedly most beautiful celebrities, I am disappointed if talent, grace and charm are not also considered in addition to beauty. So I was delighted that the Chicago Tribune did not overlook those qualities when they selected Scarlett Johansson as their number one choice.

Why you know her: She broke big with Lost in Translation and hasn't slowed down since.
Why we love her: She's a star who doesn't starve herself, doesn't advertise her personal business, and stays out of the tabloids. Plus, she's about to kick Iron Man's butt as the Black Widow!

The curvy Hollywood star looks stunning in a figure-hugging leather outfit as she takes on the role of Russian superspy Natasha Romanoff - the Black Widow - in the hotly anticipated new movie which also stars Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow and Mickey Rourke.
Scarlett, 24, star of Lost in Translation, Vicky Cristina Barcelona and The Spirit, dyed her hair and went through a punishing fitness regime for the part but it was all worth it for a role she describes as "kicks ass".
I enjoy films that portray women as strong and independent. Previously I wrote that Scarlett would be perfect to play Jean Harlow or even Marilyn Monroe.
