While the Obama administration is having a conniption fit over Jews building condos on their own land, which somehow is disruptive of the peace process, they completely ignore the Palestinian Authority’s inauguration ¹ of a square in el-Bireh named after Dalal Mughrabi, the Fatah piece of crap woman who led the 1978 Coastal Road massacre in which 37 Israeli civilians and an American photographer were killed, and 71 were wounded.

That, I suppose, is not disruptive of the peace process.

On the morning of March 11, 1978, Mughrabi headed a unit of eleven militants that included one other woman, as they arrived on the coastal plain near Tel Aviv from Lebanon in rubber dingy boats. After killing an American photographer named Gail Rubin, they opened fire at passing traffic and hijacked a taxi, killing its occupants. The hijackers then seized a passenger bus filled with tourists and sightseers and proceeded along the coastal highway to Tel Aviv. While driving south, the hijackers seized a second passenger bus, and moved the hostages (now numbering 71) to the first bus. Israeli police stopped the bus and a nine-hour shooting battle ensued, in which Mughrabi [set] fire to the bus. Most of the militants and bus passengers were killed in the fighting, as well as one Israeli policeman. A total of 39 people died and 72 were wounded; Mughrabi and nine other militants were amongst the casualties.

What was the purpose of the attack? David Bogner at his blog Treppenwitz tells us: "It was an unsuccessful attempt by the PLO (now officially called the P.A.) to halt the then on-going peace talks between Israel and Egypt!"

So while Biden's panties and Hillary Clinton's testicles are all twisted in a knot over a teapot tempest that might possibly in some remote way derail peace talks, the Palestinians are happily celebrating a martyr who tried to derail peace talks.

Amazingly the majority of American Jews voted for this anti-Israel piece of crap President.

Jerusalem Post, Fatah holds ceremony naming square after terrorist
On Thursday morning, Adnan Dumairi, a senior PA security official, announced that the official ceremony to name the square after Mughrabi had been delayed for “technical reasons.” Dumairi denied that the decision to put off the ceremony was related to pressure from Israel and the US.
However, in the evening, dozens of Palestinians gathered at the site, where Fatah leaders officially announced that the square had been named after Mughrabi.

A local Fatah official claimed that the decision to go ahead with the ceremony was taken without coordination with the PA.

“The Palestinian Authority canceled the official ceremony because they were afraid of [US Vice President] Joe Biden,” he said. “But the Palestinian leadership couldn’t prevent Palestinian residents and Fatah from holding their own celebration to honor this great woman for her sacrifices and heroism.”
