Some of my regular readers may have noticed that since the War in Gaza last January, we have had a few new Muslim visitors. Some of these new readers have left rather nasty comments about Israel and Jews usually repeating the lie that Israel kills Palestinians for no good reason. I like to think that I am a pretty good detective so I considered the following:

1. On 12 Jul 2006 Hezbollah militants in Southern lebanon fired rockets at Israeli border towns and kidnapped two Israeli soldiers. Israel responded with massive airstrikes and artillery fire, an air and naval blockade, and a ground invasion of southern Lebanon. The world was shocked that Israel had gone to war over the lives of a few lousy Jews. Cries of Disproportionate Response swept leftist news media. Europeans were shocked that Israel didn't have the decency to wait until a few hundred thousand of her citizens were killed before starting a war.


2. Israel vacated Gaza three years ago hoping that she would be left alone in peace. Instead, Hamas lobbed 20 to 50 rockets a day into Israel. Over the years, 15 Israelis were killed by rocket fire. Israel responded with massive airstrikes and artillery fire, an air and naval blockade, and a ground invasion of Gaza. again, the world was shocked that Israel would go to war over the lives of a few lousy Jews. Some Liberal Idiots again yelled "Disproportionate Response" because Israel chose to defend herself. Strange, these same websites were silent when Hamas, unprovoked, were sending these missiles into Israel. Some defended Hamas with the excuse that they were simply ineffectual, home-made rockets. Oh yeah, every weekend me and my boys get a Milton-Bradley do-it-yourself Missile kit, assmeble a few rockets, and launch them toward the center of a city a few miles away and we do this 20 times a day. Some of our homemade rockets go like 20 or 30 miles. You know, amateur stuff - all in jest, no harm intended. Nothing to get one's turban in a twist.


3. All is peace and quiet in the West Bank. Israel has not invaded nor attacked the West Bank nor is there any "genocide" against the Palestinians living there.

Hmmm. West Bank - No rockets, no Israeli attacks. Hmmm. Hamas - rocket attacks - Israel responds. I wonder what the dynamic is here? OK, Ahmed, let's not be stupid, even your own Palestinian cousins in the West Bank know this is all Hamas' fault:

Another reason behind the relative calm is attributed to the fact that some Palestinians blame Hamas for the latest cycle of violence.
