Home Depot Day Laborer Aisle

The interesting thing about so many immigrants looking for work at Home Depot outlets is why, if there is so much unemployment in the country, why are there no non-immigrants actively looking for work? Don't bother answering, I already know why: unemployment insurance. Consider this, if unemployment insurance ran for 20 years, how long would people remain on the dole? Obviously for 20 years unless a job fell out of the sky and landed on them.

Working backwards, if unemployment insurance ran for 2 weeks, then people would start looking for work almost immediately instead of milking the system. So the best thing for the economy would be the elimination of unemployment payments altogether.

Some of my readers may be bothered by the fact that immigrants, many of them illegal, are getting so many day laborer jobs. Well, I have the solution to that problem: offer them unemployment payments as we do to legitimate workers. That should keep them from showing up at Home Depot. After all , it keeps our unemployed from going out and looking for work.

Please note: Day Laborers are no longer being sold in Arizona Home Depots. But you can still buy all you want in California, for now.

A tip of the turban Hat Tip to reader Ernie G. from New Jersey for the video.
