The Hypocrites of the Left
When Muslims want to engage in an activity which is insulting to non-Muslims, the left calls opposition to such activity as racist or bigoted or Islamophobic. After all, Muslims have a Constitutional right to build where they want regardless of whom it may offend.
But when that wacko from Florida wanted to burn a Qur'an, did the left support him? Did they call the President a racist for criticizing what the preacher wanted to do? Did they call General Petraeus a bigot for asking the preacher not to do what he wanted because it might offend some group?
Doesn't an American citizen have the right to do any lawful act even if the act is insulting, disrespectful, offensive? Liberals say, "No." Only a Muslim has the right to be insulting, disrespectful, offensive.
Why the double-standard?
Don't bother answering, I know why: because any enemy of America is a friend to the left. If the dominant religion of our country were Muslim and our society Capitalist (I ask for your willing suspension of disbelief at the oxymoron) and Christians wanted to build a church near a site that showed disrespect for the memory of those who died there, the left would be supporting Christians and they would be calling Muslims bigots and racists.
If the presence of Christians would help bring the downfall of our Capitalist society, then the left would be supporting them with all their heart and all their might.
What we have witnessed is not a fight for religious freedom, that's nonsense. What the left is fighting for is the overthrow of our system of government, our Capitalist way of life, of our property rights and our individual freedom.
That is why Obama took the side of the Muslims and against the side of the Christian pastor. Not because he favors Muslims, although he does, but because he desires the destruction of Capitalism. So far he's doing a good job.
