President Obama Gives Me a Christmas Present
By Bernie on 24 Dec 2010
Obama has been very good to me this Christmas season. When I wrote in June of 2008 that if elected, President Barack H. Obama will make me Rich, gold was trading at $883.50 an ounce.
I wrote back then: "If Obama is elected, I honestly believe he will try to put through a number of outright socialist programs (universal health care, for one) that should make the dollar plummet even further."
The gold bar you see above was worth $6,248,834 at the time.
Thanks to the stupidity and predictability of liberals and socialists that bar is now worth $9,792,238 at today's closing price of $1384.40 an ounce.
But the beauty of all this is that Obama hasn't finished his work yet. To really make me even richer, he still can push for some really stringent climate bills that will increase energy costs and cripple our economy like no one's business.
Oh, what a great time to be alive and have opportunities like this. It's like pulling a royal flush in poker - you can't lose betting on a socialist to wreck this country.
Some of my readers may wonder that my profiting on the misfortune of my countrymen is unpatriotic.
I should point out that I did encourage my readers to take advantage of the situation - from the same article: "A suggestion to my loyal readers: dump stocks before the public wakes up to the fact that Obama will sink this country."
Truth be told, those stupid enough to vote for Obama without preparing for the worst deserve the economic calamity that befalls them. Hopefully they will learn a lesson: never vote for a leftist, liberal, or socialist unless you are shorting America.
And lastly, when the economy does collapse, if there are enough people like me with gold instead of worthless paper, then we can help bring this country back from the brink. It doesn't help our country if all of us are poor and destitute - someone has to be there to throw out the lifesaver.
