Islam Is Not at All as I Describe
Among the many complaints I receive from Muslims in emails and in the comment section of my articles is the oft-shoveled horse hockey that Islam is not at all as I describe in my articles. Here for example is a comment by reader omid alimehr in response to my article Virgin Girls Raped Before Execution in Iran: "islam is not such as you mentioned in your articles."
Here's the deal, omid: you are mistaking my reporting the news as if it is my opinion. It is not my opinion that in Iran female virgin prisoners are rape-married the night before a scheduled execution - it is reported fact. Obviously you do not know that in the Islamic Republic of Iran it is illegal to execute a woman if she is a virgin; thus, in order to make it religiously acceptable to execute them, their virginity must be removed.
If you are offended by the rape and then execution of 9 year old virgins, your beef is with the Iranian ulema, the Muslim legal scholars who are arbiters of Shariah Law in that country. If you are offended that the Shariah, based on the Qur'an, the ahadith, and 1400 years of Islamic jurisprudence, has never prohibited the stoning, hanging, or beheading of blasphemers, homosexuals, adulterers, and those who spread mischief throughout the land, even unto the present day then your complaint is with Islam, not with me - I'm only a lowly messenger who merely reports the news.
It is not my opinion I offer when I link to thousands of news reports describing the subjugation of black slaves in Iraq, the execution of virgins in Iran, the throwing of acid in women's faces in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan.
It is not my description of Islam when relating the Muslim slaughter of millions of Hindus in Bangladesh; I merely quote a Time Magazine description of what happened. If you have a problem - it is with history and the tens of thousands of eyewitnesses, not with me.
Deny all that your eyes see, deny all that your ears hear, deny the stench of Islam all you want. Facts contradict your precious denials.
It is not enough to say that the Qur'an does not endorse this or that barbarity. It is enough that the Qur'an does not prohibit savage and brutal punishments. If you live in a civilized society, you should be ashamed to be a Muslim.
I will be adding this post to my other canned responses at If You Knew Islam Like I Know Islam.
P.S.
Omid and his fellow Muslims who refuse to acknowledge that Islam is shackled to ancient, barbaric, savage desert customs are not the only ones in denial. Our own American government has even bigger blinders on. As many of my readers know, the 86 page government report on the Ft Hood massacre amazingly does not once mention the words “Muslim,” “Islam,” "Allah," “jihad,” “sharia,” or “Koran;” despite the fact that a Muslim follower of Islam yelled "Allahu Akbar" as he went on a jihad in accordance with the injunctions of the Qur'an and legally sanctioned by the Shariah. All the idiots at the DoD who put their names to this blasphemy should be ashamed of themselves.
