Obama Responsible for Giffords Shooting in Arizona
By Bernie on 09 Jan 2011
Well, we've all seen the headlines: Gabrielle Giffords Shooting: Hatred Ravages AZ Over Immigration 1 and Giffords' blood is on Sarah Palin's hands 2. I'm sure Liberals were happy to see a Democrat shot so that they could blame the Tea Party for their "violent" rhetoric.
However, there are millions of Tea Party activists and as far as I know most liberal and Democratic politicians are still alive, so obviously the rhetoric is hardly inciting thousands of Tea Partiers to go out and string up Democrats. That those who voted for Obamacare (which will destroy this country) are traitors is beyond question - certainly they deserve the hangman's noose, however that should only be done after they are found guilty in a fair trial. I do believe in the rule of law.
The truth is, it is too soon to be slinging blame for the shootings, I don't think anyone really knows the whole story at this time, but if that is what liberals want to do, let me do some blaming: this is all Obama's fault.
Had Obama tackled the illegal immigrant problem along our southern border, Arizona would never have needed to pass S.B. 1070 and therefore there would be no hatred or racism issues - if that is indeed one of the issues that sparked the shootings.
Had Obama not pushed for the worst piece of legislation in American history, meant only to take away our freedoms under the guise of health care, then there would have been no anger over Obamacare - if that is indeed one of the issues that sparked the shootings.

The Daily Beast, Gabrielle Giffords Shooting: Hatred Ravages AZ Over Immigration
As Rep. Gabrielle Giffords clings to life and her prognosis remains unclear, Terry Greene Sterling reports on the immigration wars, violence, and hate ravaging Arizona that put Giffords in danger.
...
In the wake of the shooting, Arizonans, especially Latinos, blamed the tragedy on hate speech issuing from immigration battles and the 2010 elections. And on social media, those who knew of Giffords’ record puzzled over why a centrist Democrat known to be hawkish on border security and the military was targeted. During vigils and gatherings in Democrat-leaning Tucson and Republican-leaning Phoenix, many Arizonans called for peace in a state that’s been ravaged by immigration wars, violence, and hate.

NY Daily News, 9 Jan 2011, Rep. Gabrielle Giffords' blood is on Sarah Palin's hands after putting cross hair over district
Here is what Sarah Palin said on the Facebook page where she depicted Gabrielle Giffords in the cross hairs of a rifle scope: "Don't retreat! Instead - RELOAD!"
Well, the guy who shot Giffords yesterday managed to keep firing until he killed six, including a child, and wounded 13 .
Palin would no doubt say that she was only speaking in metaphor, that she only meant her followers should work to unseat Giffords and 19 other Democrats who had roused her ire by voting for health care.
But anyone with any sense at all knows that violent language can incite actual violence, that metaphor can incite murder. At the very least, Palin added to a climate of violence.
