In my article Lions and Tigers and Bears and Me I wrote that in the early 1990s I used to raise mice for a hobby, at one time having more than a thousand of these tiny buggers in my home.

After years of observing mice I came to the conclusion that human beings, unrestrained by law and morality, act much like mice.

Consider the following: if I put a male mouse in a cage filled with females, he will copulate like crazy for a few days having sex more than a hundred times. Then day by day, he will have sex less and less until he stops altogether. Then if I put him in a new cage filled with different females, he will again copulate like a madmen until he gets bored with the same females and stops altogether. If I repeat, he will keep doing this until he dies.

This is much like primitive human males act. Initially they will copulate like crazy until they get bored by the same female. However, put him near a new female, and absent law or morality or consequences, he will again copulate like crazy.

If I put my male mouse in a cage with young and old females, he will copulate with the youngest first. If the females are really young, his sexual energy may be so egregiously violent that the poor young mouse may die from it.

I believe, that absent morality or law, male humans are not any different than male mice. I believe this explains why Muslim societies not only condone but encourage males to marry young, prepubescent girls. ¹

Sex with underage girls in civilized countries is both immoral and illegal. In Islam it is considered fine and dandy, morally and legally.

The great contribution of the Judeo-Christian moral teachings is that it made us unlike the animals. Sadly Islam allows human beings to act exactly like animals.
