I am disgusted. No, I am not talking about their lesbian relationship, lesbianism in nature is quite natural, see my article on homosexuality among mice.
What I am talking about is the couple's recent decision to open a vegan eatery in Los Angeles (1).
If one lived in nature, in a diet free of fish, meat, poultry, eggs, or milk products, in a world without pharmaceutical companies, one would not be able to obtain nutrients such as Vitamin B-12 which is essential for normal functioning of the brain and nervous system, and required for proper red blood cell formation.
A strict vegan diet is un-natural. I understand that lesbians may enjoy cucumbers and zucchinis other than for dietary purposes and that is only natural; however what Portia and Ellen are investing in is un-natural. That by opening such an establishment, they are encouraging and supporting vegetarianism. And that is disgusting.
For foods that contain Vitamin B-12 see the NIH Dietary Supplement Fact Sheet.
A few months ago, the news of Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi opening a vegan restaurant in L.A. had fans of the funnywomen and cuisine dancing in the streets. The details on the project have been scarce, but we learned a new juicy bit today. As it turns out, the duo will be investing in the revamp of an existing Studio City eatery.
Bokado, a tapas bar on Ventura Boulevard, has closed its doors for about a month and a half to undergo a reconceptualization, reports Eater LA. Having catered DeGeneres and de Rossi's vegan wedding and prepped the eats for Oprah's vegan cleanse, vegan Chef Tal Ronnen will exercise his meatless mastery to create the menu for the new vegan joint.
