The Difference Between Devout Muslim Americans and Devout Non-Muslim Americans from Planck's Constant

In a recent Muslim Apologia appearing in HuffPost, idiot Doug Saunders promotes his new book The Myth of the Muslim Tide, chronicling the supposed widespread misunderstanding of Muslim immigration to the West.

In particular, I want to focus on point #6:

6. Muslims in America are more loyal to their faith than their country

True, 49% of Americans from Muslim backgrounds say they consider themselves “Muslim first and American second” and 47% claim to attend a mosque on Friday. But you have to compare that to American Christians, 46% of whom say they identify themselves as “Christian first and American second” (that number rises to 70% among Evangelicals). And 45% of American Chistians [sic] attend a church service every Sunday.

In other words, Muslims have adopted exactly the same rate of religious observance as the people around them in their host country. We see this just as strongly in France, where a fifth of Muslims are atheist and only 5% attend a mosque regularly – almost the same rate as French Christians.

Of course, there is no comparison. So what if many Christians identify themselves as “Christian first and American second,” devout Christians do not go around trying to replace our Constitution with the Bible while even Muslims who do not attend mosque want our Constitution replaced with the Shariah.

When was the last time you heard of a rabbi or Jewish leader dream of a Jewish state in America? The only answer is never. On the other hand, imams all over this country in their sermons and leaders of Muslims organizations such as CAIR fervently pray that our country one day become an ISLAMIC state:

Hooper has candidly stated that while he does not endorse the violent tactics of Islamic radicals, he does share their desire to impose Islam on all of America... in 2003, Hooper stated that if Muslims were ever to become a numerical majority in the U.S., they would likely seek to replace the Constitution with Islamic law (Sharia), which they view as divinely inspired and thus superior to all other legal systems.

When Muslims candidly admit that they want Shariah to replace our system of laws, then it is no myth that Muslims in America are more loyal to their faith than their country.

Christians, a numerical majority in the U.S., do not seek to replace our Constitution with Christian law.

And that is the difference between devout Muslim Americans and devout non-Muslim Americans.
