Shouting and bawling, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton evaded answering questions last Wednesday about why the Obama Administration and the State Department misled the American people regarding the Benghazi attack on September 11 last year:
Shouting and gesturing with her arms in frustration, Clinton shot back: "With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night decided they'd go kill some Americans?"
Her fists shaking, she continued: "What difference, at this point, does it make? It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, senator." (1)
OK, two things you stupid, dissembling, callous cow:
- It was neither a protest nor was it some random act of a bunch of guys out for a walk that killed four Americans. Even after the attack, this Obama lackey cannot utter the words: Muslim terrorists. To the families of those killed, it makes a big difference.
If a meteor fell from the sky and killed our men, then certainly no one should blame our government's actions or in-actions; however, if our men died because this administration has placed a Muslim veil over our security concerns, a veil meant to hide the threat to America that Islam poses, then indeed these families can rightly accuse Obama and his henchmen of being directly responsible for those deaths.
- As for preventing this from happening again, this Administration will not be able to accomplish anything of the sort if we are out looking for protesters or a bunch of guys out for a walk when they suddenly are overtaken by an inexplicable urge to kill Americans. We shouldn't be wasting our time looking for those guys.
This is probably why, after more than four months, we haven't brought anyone to justice for the Benghazi attacks. We are waiting for some guys casually walking in the street to come in and confess to the deed. As I wrote in my article Naming Your Enemies: "And so it is sad to note that the Obama administration has taken it upon itself to refuse to name those who wish to destroy America. First they took away 'Islamic' from 'Islamic terrorists.' Then they took away 'terrorists' and so we were left to fill the empty quotes with words about some nebulous men who caused disasters."
At times angry and choked with emotion, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Wednesday took on Republican critics of her department's handling of the September terrorist attack in Libya that killed the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans, but repeatedly distanced herself from a direct role in specific situations.
"As I have said many times since September 11, I take responsibility," Clinton told two long-anticipated congressional hearings examining the attack that became a major issue in the November presidential election.
Conservative Republicans challenged Clinton on the lack of security at the diplomatic compound in Benghazi, where Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three others were killed, as well as the erroneous account provided four days later by U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice that the attack grew spontaneously from a protest over an anti-Islam film produced in the United States.
