Jim Carrey is an Idiot
Katie Pavlich, the News Editor at Townhall, tells us that Liberal elitist Hollywood Actor Jim Carrey, who enjoys the protection of an armed bodyguard, thought it would be hilarious to make fun of gun owners in a video he published yesterday (in mature fashion, Carrey posted the video on a college site):
Does making fun of a revered and admired dead actor make Carrey an idiot? No, that makes him an ass. What makes him an idiot is his tweet:

The guns in our homes kill more innocent ppl than criminals, by far.In conn. massacre the guns belonged to his mom,who is also dead now.
But so what? The knives in our kitchens kill more innocent ppl than criminals as well, but no one believes that stricter knife controls would lead to fewer murders by knife. The truth is that as more Americans buy guns, the lower the murder rate by guns [Source FBI]. As well, the push to ban assault rifles is misplaced since more people in 2011 were murdered with knives (1694), fists (728), and hammers (496), than with rifles (323):
