I am not a Christian but I do believe in the spirit of Christmas. I enjoy the Christmas Season and yes, my family puts up a Christmas tree in our home and we decorate the outside of our home with lights, glitter and winter wreaths.

Although I am an Atheist I believe in Santa Claus. I believe, if we choose, we have him in our hearts. Only a person with a lump of coal beating in his chest cannot feel joy at the sight of a young child eagerly unwrapping his Christmas present.

My children gave me the greatest gift a human can receive: they let me love them. For someone like me who doesn't believe in the afterlife, they have given me the kingdom of heaven here on Earth. Christmas reminds me to thank them for that.
