I see Jay Leno at Caesars Atlantic City April 25 2014

A few years ago I went more often to shows at Atlantic City casinos than I do now. The best A.C. extravaganza I attended was the Bollywood Fashion and Music Awards back in 2007. But since then I only see one show a year, if that. It's not that I don't get invited, Caesars Entertainment sends me a few dozen free invitations a year to major live ringside boxing, live concerts from the likes of Diana Ross, Ringo Starr, Boston, and The Band Perry, or standup comedy by Chelsea Handler.

It's different however in Las Vegas (I visit at least once a year) - I never miss an opportunity to see a show there; for example: Disney's the Lion King at Mandalay Bay Casino and Monty Python's Spamalot at the Wynn.

Perhaps I go too often to Atlantic City casinos - from 30 to 45 times a year - and there are so many show opportunities that I don't take advantage of more than one a year. Similar to the observation that more visitors to New York City take the elevator to the top of the Empire State Building or climb the steps at the Statue of Liberty than native New Yorkers themselves do.

But when Caesars sent me two tickets to see America's most famous stand-up comedian, I decided not to pass it up.

I should admit that I rarely watched The Tonight Show with Jay Leno because I lose interest right after the monologue, so here was a chance to see Leno performing a 90-minute-long monologue. He didn't disappoint.

That's it - no coruscating analysis, no pithy phrase to offer my readers about the show. It's late - I'm tired.
