The Park Hotel in Netanya, Israel is not a big hotel, only 90 rooms, 78 of which have a private balcony with a stunning view of the sea and beautiful gardens below. On 27 March 2002, the day started bright and sunny not much different than the one in the photo right; it would end the day with death and destruction.

Here's what happened. That evening, the hotel held its traditional annual Passover seder in its main dining hall filled with 250 hotel guests, many of them elderly, some of them were Holocaust survivors.

A Palestinian man of 25, Abdel-Basset Odeh, disguised as a woman wearing a wig and yellow glasses, waited for the security guard to be momentarily away from the hotel entrance, entered the main dining area and detonated a device carried in a suitcase, instantly killing 28 civilians and injuring over 140 people - 2 of the injured later died of their wounds.

So how was this savage suicide bomber remembered? How about having a football tournament named in his honor?

Palestinian Media Watch, Football tournament honors suicide terrorists

“In the football field of Tulkarem’s Abd Al-Majid Tayeh School... the Tulkarem Martyrs’ (Shahids’) Football Tournament, the Championship of the Martyr Abd Al-Basset Odeh, began with the participation of seven top teams, named after Martyrs who gave their lives to redeem the Homeland. The teams are: ..., Martyr Raed Karmi… Martyr Tareq Abu Safaka, Martyr Tareq Al-Qato, Martyr Mahmoud Marmash... Issam, the brother of the Martyr (suicide bomber Abd Al-Basset Odeh), will distribute the trophies."

That's how Muslims honor brutal murderers of innocent civilians - they treat them as heroes.

Now let's see how what kind of heroes are honored by Jews:

Brooklyn, NY - Just hours after his death, Williamsburg residents are joining with the FDNY to mourn the death of one of New York’s bravest, who was honored 12 days ago for the part he played in saving the life of a seven year old Chasidic boy in May.

Lieutenant Gordon Ambelas died last night after sustaining life threatening injuries in a two alarm fire at 75 Wilson Street as previously reported on VIN News.

Ambelas was searching for trapped occupants on the 19th floor of the high rise building when he was trapped by a flash fire in a bedroom. Ambelas, who was found by fellow firefighters, was transported to Woodhull Medical Center where he later died.

That's how Jews honor brave men who save lives - they treat them as heroes.

Now you know the difference between heroes honored by Jews and heroes honored by Muslims.
