School Did the Right Thing with Ahmed Mohamed and Clock
When a high school freshman with the name of Ahmed Mohamed went to school in Irving, Texas, Monday, he was excited to show his teacher the digital clock he'd made from a pencil case. Instead of praise for his home-made clock, Ahmed was arrested.
And rightly so. If it were indeed a bomb and the school administrators had done nothing, they would have possibly been facing not only angry parents of dead children, but losing their jobs for being so stupid and careless. But they were neither stupid nor careless and so if I were a parent at that school I would have congratulated them for erring on the side of caution for the sake of my children.
I have read tweets by morons blaming the school and cops for profiling - however as I wrote in my article Things you should not do - if you are a Muslim, profiling is a necessary police tool. If a gang of Jewish bagel thieves were running rampant in my neighborhood I would not want the police to be looking for Albanian circus midgets, unless of course, that is exactly how the thieves were described.
The school and the police are not the people to blame for what happened before and after this incident- here is my assessment:
- The parents of Ahmed Mohamed are idiots. We learn that Ahmed is 14 years old. 9/11 happened 14 years ago. What morons would name their child Ahmed after 9/11? As for a last name like Mohamed, if that name were mine, I would have changed that to anything non-Muslim-sounding, see my article The Killer is Muslim and His Name is Mohammed.
- American grammar schools share some of the blame for not teaching children that if you are black, do not point black toy guns at police officers, and definitely do not bring to school anything with wires, timing devices, or flashing LED lights, especially if your name is Ahmed or Mohammed. By the way, what Ahmed brought to school looks like a bomb to me, not a clock.
- President Obama for praising Ahmed. "Cool clock, Ahmed. Want to bring it to the White House? We should inspire more kids like you to like science. It's what makes America great," a message on Obama's Twitter feed said. Yeah, Obama you incompetent, clueless moron; that's all our enemies need to know, that Muslim children can be used to bring devices with electronics, wires, and timing mechanisms into the White House. Maybe next time it won't be an innocent kid coming to visit the President, you pathetic fool.
Do you know what you have done, all you Twitter-morons and our Dupe-in-Chief? You have made it harder for school officials to properly deal with genuine threats. Perhaps the next time a school teacher or official will wait too long before calling the police, if at all, for fear of either a backlash from the PC Nazis or of being called Islamophobes.
