Hoda Muthana Teaches Us Why Muslim Immigrants Are Dangerous
I know it's a terrible thing to say, that a certain group of people are inherently dangerous, but we do it with diseases that are contagious. For example, we are told that sexual contact with HIV-positive individuals is dangerous, that we may become infected with the disease. It's nothing personal.
I want to tell you a story about an American girl infected with a certain disease, one that will eventually kill many innocent people. The disease was transmitted to her at birth in 1994 and lay dormant until just a few years ago when it finally began to bloom.
That girl used to go by the name Hoda Muthana, born here in the United States, the youngest of five children, and raised in Hoover, Alabama by her parents who had immigrated from Yemen.
Like so many girls her age in Hoover, she graduated Hoover High School in 2013. For a short time she even attended business classes at the University of Alabama. Up until 2012 she seemed like any other American girl but then became more interested in Islam and began watching Islamic sermons on YouTube. That was when the virus started to kick in - she donned a more modest dress and secretly became a militant Islamist on Twitter and other social media. When a normal-seeming girl goes hijabi, she might secretly be Jihadi, as I like to say.
Without her family's knowlege she received instructions from ISIS on how to move to Syria and join them. In November 2014 she flew to Syria via Turkey. A month later, she contacted her father begging for money ostensibly to escape from Syria because, she said, she was being forced to marry against her will. Her father sensed it was a ploy just to get funds to ISIS and sent nothing. Shortly before Christmas she did indeed marry. The groom was a young recruit from Australia going by the nom de Jihad Abu Jihad al-Australi. A few months later he was reportedly killed by Jordanian air strikes against ISIS in Syria.
She now lives in the northern city of Raqqa.
Muslims Cannot Be Good Americans
When young Muslims who are born in the United States, who attend our public schools, who grow up immersed in American culture still end up transmogrified into Jihadists by simply watching YouTube videos, then what are we to expect of Muslim immigrants who are born in Muslim countries, who attend Muslim schools, who are indoctrinated with the disease of Islam all their life, and who have grown up steeped in a culture where it is a given that their religion is to reign supreme over all others? Exactly what are we expecting to happen? That they will embrace our culture, our way of life, our music, our beliefs? That they will become assimilated, become good Americans?
For God's Sake, when Muslims born here don't even feel American, what are Muslims in a strange land supposed to feel?
Look at that face in the photo above. We all know Muslim coworkers or acquaintances who have that innocent look. Her friends and fellow students viewed her as harmless but are lucky she went to Syria when Sudden Jihad Syndrome overtook her mind. They're lucky she didn't practice her faith locally with an AK-47.
