Then in 2005, after he escaped future prosecutions by holing up with the Bahrain Royal Family, he converted to Sunni Islam. As is well-known, child molestation is legally permitted in and one of the virtues of Sunnism. Soon after, he decided to build a mosque on land near the palace of the royal family. It was while he was in Bahrain that he reportedly died. The cause?
This has not yet been confirmed. Michael was set to appear today (Nov 15 2006) at the World Music Awards hosted by Lindsey Lohan. Anyway, Michael is to be presented with the Diamond Award for selling more than 100 million albums. If he is not really dead and shows up, It will mark his second public appearance at an awards show since his trial. He is scheduled to perform "Thriller" with Chris Brown and will also be performing "We Are The World".
I may be the only one in the blogosphere reporting this. We will just have to wait and see.
