Feedjit - Real Time Visits
By Bernie on 27 Jan 2008
My readers will note a new widget at the bottom of my sidebar from Feedjit, a java applet that displays visits to my blog in real time. The country and city of origin and the method used to get to my blog are displayed first, then the article they reached as well what the reader clicked when they left.
Here is a snapshot of current readers:
Most likely, you are the visitor at the top listing at the moment.
Clicking on the options link gives you three choices:
- Ignore my browser
- Live Traffic Map
- Popular Pages Today
The first choice tells Feedjit to ignore your visits. The second choice displays a real-time map of my visitors, and the third link displays the top articles visited today.
I find the map the most useful although my readers will probably find the top articles for today the most interesting.

Anyone may republish this article for non-commercial use without asking my permission. I make it easy, see details here.
