Abuse Photos - Obama Finally Knows What Time it Is
By Bernie on 13 May 2009
US President Barack Obama changed his mind regarding the release of the pictures showing the abuse of prisoners by US soldiers. Only a complete moron would not see that the release of the photos would endanger not only US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan but Christians and Jews throughout the world as well. So it is not surprising that the ACLU is disappointed over the matter 1.
I really don't understand the ACLU; would any one of them tell his wife, "YES, that dress does make you look fat, my dear"? So why would they purposely antagonize a group of people who go berserk over a Starbucks Logo 2?
And what is the purpose of having the photos released? To continue to bash Bush even though he's no longer in office? To make America even more hated throughout the lands of Islam? The abuses at Abu Ghraib have stopped, so what is the ACLU trying to accomplish if not something anti-American?
Certainly enemy prisoners should not be abused and I'm sure a lot of the Abu Ghraib problems occurred because the guards were not properly trained to deal with the low-life animals they encountered, but almost all the abuses such as standing naked on a box, or having a female laugh at your genitals are chump horrors compared to genuine torture. How offended would we be if we found out that our soldiers who were captured by the enemy were made to pee on a crucifix or were tickled by a burqa-clad female?
As for naked pyramid stacking or being forced to masturbate in front of a female? There are Americans who'd pay good money to be thus abused.
I wish that all American soldiers captured by Muslims would be similarly "abused" as those poor Muslims at Abu Ghraib instead of what would befall them in real life: eye-gouging, bone-crushing, drilling of hands, severing of limbs, blow-torching the skin, suspending from ceiling, electrocuting, and squeezing head in vice. And those are the gentle tortures.
I wish Muslims were as civilized as Americans. Unfortunately for every photo released, a thousand Christians or Jews will be maimed, tortured, or killed in response. The photos should not be released; not because we cannot handle them; but because Muslims cannot.

BBC, 13 May 2009, Obama U-turn on abuse photographs
US President Barack Obama has changed his mind and will now attempt to block the publication of photographs showing the abuse of prisoners by US soldiers.
The US government had previously said it would not fight a court ruling ordering the release of the pictures.
Mr Obama now believes the release of the photos would make the job of US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan more difficult, White House officials said.
The pictures were due to be released by 28 May, according to the court ruling.
The court order was issued by the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in September 2008, in response to a Freedom of Information Act request by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

Planck's Constant, 18 Apr 2009, Starbucks Logo Offends Muslims
For a view of the Twilight Zone of Islamic Absurdities (aside from the Quran) take a look at this YouTube video of Egyptian Cleric Safwat Higazi on Egyptian TV station Al-Nas on 25 Jan 2009 claiming that the woman on the Starbucks Logo is of Queen Esther, the Jewish Queen of the Persians, and urging all good Muslims to boycott the company:
This idiotic ploy to turn Muslim customers away from American companies and instead to patronize Islamic businesses will most likely work because most Muslims are too stupid or ignorant to come to my blog to see the notion debunked. A quick google search will reveal to any interested researcher that the original Starbucks Logo was of a mermaid/siren:
