New Look for 2009

I've been busy the past few days changing the look of my blog. In the past few years the changes were minor, moving around the sidebar, adding or deleting widgets and fooling around with different features. I have been getting a few emails now and again from some of my readers informing me that they find the previous wide format difficult to read. What was easy to read in early 2006, now with much wider monitors is much more difficult.
Indeed, a quick look at the chart above of screen resolutions used by my readers shows that more than 70% have a screen width greater than 1024. Compare the width of my article The Subjugation of Jewish Women as it appeared in 2007 (click on image for larger view)

There are more 35-40 words to read across the page before skipping to the next line.
As compared to how the article looks today in the new format:
The same article only requires my readers to scan from only 10 to 15 words before descending to the line below. Thanks, dear readers, for letting me know.
